Thinkode AI Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to Thinkode AI Extensions. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information while delivering an enhanced ChatGPT experience. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we handle it, where it is stored, and how it may be shared.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of user data to provide core functionality:

  • Email Address: Collected when you sign in to the extension. This helps associate your saved data with your account.
  • Bookmarked/Hidden Chats: The content of ChatGPT messages you choose to bookmark or hide.
  • Chat URLs: The URLs of ChatGPT conversations associated with bookmarks or hidden messages.

2. How We Handle and Use Your Data

We use the collected data only for the following purposes:

  • To display your bookmarked and hidden chats within the extension interface.
  • To enable quick navigation to specific ChatGPT conversations.
  • To associate stored data with your signed-in account and sync it across devices.
  • To ensure a consistent and personalized user experience.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

3. Data Storage

We store user data in two locations to support local access and cross-device synchronization:

  • Locally: Using Chrome’s storage API on your device, which allows faster access and offline use.
  • In the Cloud: Secure servers (e.g., Firebase) are used to sync your bookmarks, hidden chats, and email across devices signed in with the same account.

Cloud-stored data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data with third parties.

Your data is accessible only to you, and only when signed in with your authenticated email. No third-party services have access to your content unless required by law.

5. User Control and Choices

You are in full control of your data:

  • Delete Bookmarks/Chats: Remove any saved data individually via the extension interface.
  • Clear Local Data: Uninstalling the extension removes all data stored on your device.
  • Request Cloud Data Deletion: You can request permanent deletion of your cloud-stored data by emailing us at support@thinkode.co.uk.

6. Required Browser Permissions

Our extension requests the following permissions:

  • Storage: To save bookmarks, hidden chats, and user credentials locally.
  • ActiveTab: To interact with your current ChatGPT tab.
  • Scripting: To inject functionality like bookmark buttons and extract content.
  • Tabs: To navigate to specific ChatGPT conversation URLs.

These permissions are strictly required for core features and are not used to access unrelated personal data.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any changes are made, we will update the version on the Chrome Web Store and within the extension interface. Continued use of the extension constitutes your agreement to the updated terms.
